Why OmniMD

Integrated Platform vs. Standalone Billing Companies

When documentation and billing live in separate systems, revenue leaks at every hand-off.

Categories OmniMD Standalone billers
Clinical data flow Notes flow directly into coding, no exports, no re-entry Work from exported files, gaps at every transfer
Coding speed AI codes in real time as the provider documents Coding happens hours or days after the encounter
Insurance verification Verified before service is rendered Checked late, often after service
Data visibility One dashboard, clinical, operational, and financial KPIs Clinical and financial data siloed
Denial prevention Risk flagged before submission, not after rejection Denial management is reactive
System intelligence EHR, scribe, coder, and RCM learn from each other continuously No feedback loop between documentation and billing outcomes

FAQ

Urgent Care Billing: Answered

Each visit is a standalone episodic encounter with its own E&M level, CPT codes, and payer fee schedule, with no appointment history or pre-authorization runway to fall back on.

Typically no. But certain in-visit procedures, imaging, labs, referrals, may require it. OmniMD tracks and flags these automatically.

E&M codes 99202-99215, emergency-level 99281-99285, laceration repair 12001-12057, point of care labs, and radiology. E&M level selection and modifier usage are where most revenue is lost.

It restricts out of network billing in certain situations and requires good faith cost estimates for uninsured patients. OmniMD’s compliance module keeps your billing aligned with NSA requirements.

Most clients see improvement in clean claim rates, denials, and cash flow within 90 days. Your dedicated account manager monitors KPIs from day one.
